I am a quantitative marine ecologist focused on understanding the migratory behaviour and foraging ecology of large marine vertebrates. My expertise is centred around the application of bio-logging technology and advanced statistical modelling to understand how the processes that define the Anthropocene are impacting marine ecosystems.

My research has focused on high latitude environments. I've spent time in both the Arctic and Antarctic studying how seals and seabirds use the ocean, and how that's shifting as the climate changes. Much of my work involves collecting large biologging datasets and developing the statistical models needed to make sense of them.

Science communication is central to my work. My research has featured in BBC Frozen Planet II, I have spoken at World Economic Forum events in Davos, in schools and at Science Festivals across the UK.

If you're interested in my research then please get in touch; I'm always interested in collaborations and future funding opportunities.
